Over the years, I have created a body of work using the Holga camera, a simple plastic “toy” camera embraced by artists for its unique, low-fidelity aesthetic. The Holga’s cult-like following stems from the charm of its imperfections, which are a direct result of its minimalistic construction and basic meniscus lens. I am drawn to these imperfections, which introduce an element of unpredictability and rawness to the images, allowing me to explore a more expressive and authentic photographic experience.
